Business reporting · Pilot programme

One business question.
A clearer answer.

Have sales, job, or service data sitting in a spreadsheet? Let’s explore one useful question and turn an agreed export into a report you can understand and act on.

A scoped reporting service. Pilot pricing is quoted after we review your question and data.

A more useful starting point

“Which job types actually
make us money?”

RevenueWhat came in
Direct costsWhat the work cost
Gross marginWhat was left

Margin reporting requires usable cost data. If it’s missing, we agree what can be answered first.

Small enough to be useful

Start with a question
that matters to you.

Choose the problem before choosing a dashboard. We’ll check whether your data can support the answer.

01 / Trades

Which jobs pay their way?

Compare revenue and direct costs across job types. Identify work worth investigating before taking on more of it.

02 / Retail

Which products earn their place?

Compare sales and gross margins by product or category, where reliable sales and cost data are available.

03 / Services

Where does our time go?

Compare fees and recorded delivery time across services or clients to see where further investigation may help.

What you receive

A checked report.
A practical conversation.

We agree one question, one export format, and the reporting period. You receive a concise report, the key calculations, and a review conversation about the findings and limitations.

AI can help explain verified figures. Missing costs, incomplete records, and assumptions are called out rather than filled in with guesses.

01

Agree the question & scope

Confirm the data required, export format, deliverables, price, and handling arrangements before sharing business records.

02

Prepare & check the numbers

Review the export for gaps, calculate the agreed metrics, and reconcile totals against the supplied records.

03

Review & decide what’s next

Discuss what changed, what needs investigation, and whether a repeat report would be useful. Ongoing reporting is agreed separately.

This example shows gross margin by job category. It is not a client report or evidence of customer results.

Revenue: R20,000 / R30,000 / R10,000. Direct costs: R10,000 / R21,000 / R4,000. Gross margin excludes overheads.

What to investigate

The biggest sales category has the lowest margin.

Geyser work brought in half the revenue, but its gross margin was 30%. Check parts pricing and time recorded before changing your prices or prioritising other work.

Clear expectations, from the start.

Is this an automated SaaS platform?

This offer is a reporting pilot with an agreed export and a checked report. Live connections, automated alerts, forecasts, and self-service dashboards are not included unless explicitly agreed in a separate scope.

Do I need to buy a website first?

No. Reporting depends on your business question and data. You can discuss a pilot whether or not Anchorwise built your website.

How much does it cost?

We quote after checking the question, export structure, and amount of preparation required. There is no automatic ongoing subscription. Any repeat-report price is agreed separately.

Should I upload my data through the contact form?

No. Send a description of the question and the system you use. We agree a suitable transfer route and data-handling arrangements before receiving business records. Please don’t email customer lists or sensitive financial files with your initial enquiry.

A good place to start

What would you like your numbers to explain?

Start with the question. We’ll help you work out whether a reporting pilot makes sense.
